Nissan has donated a new emergency command and transport response vehicle to the Kittrell Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD), located in Readyville, TN. The donated is intended to support the local area, where Nissan is headquartered and maintains manufacturing operations.
Nissan outfitted the 2006 Nissan Pathfinder 4X4 with emergency warning and radio communications gear, installed by Gemini Communications Inc. in Murfreesboro, TN. KVFD Chief John Ingle will use the vehicle on fire scenes to establish command post operations and to transport firefighters.
This command vehicle is also outfitted with a bevy of high-tech communications equipment. It features a “command console” which allows for increased interoperability between multiple jurisdictions and departments.
Ingle said, "We are honored to receive this generous donation from Nissan Americas. It will be another tool in the tool kit in our service to the citizens of the Kittrell and Readyville communities."
