Music Fans Pick The Music For Nissan Juke Commercial

Nissan was eager to make a new television spot for the new Juke crossover a little more interactive. So, the automaker turned to Facebook and asked fans to choose the commercial's soundtrack.

The 'Juke Rocks’ campaign asked more than 45,000 fans from over 14 countries to select their favorite song from a two final entries – a re-energized version of the current soundtrack, “Twinkle Twinkle” performed by Fredrika Stahl, or a dynamic electronic alternative called “Manners”. Fans picked the classic lullaby, which Nissan then re-mixed with a rising star of the French electro scene, Data.

Wanting to get Facebook fans involved in the development of this new commercial was a natural progression. The crossover has become a hit in the U.S. and in Europe, where it's captured a market share of 1.86% in B segment.

“The Nissan Juke experience is about engaging with customers in an unusual way," said Laurent de la Cortardiere, Vice President of Nissan Europe. "Music gets us in tune with the fans and allows them to become part of the campaign.”
