Yokohama is home to a giant warehouse filled with almost 80 years’ worth of Nissan cars and racing vehicles. Beginning with the 1933 Datsun 12 Phaeton, the warehouse features 400 vehicles that represent the automaker's illustrious history.

Motor sports have been a defining feature for Nissan since the Fairlady 1500 won the the first Japan Gran Prix in 1963, so naturally a number of racing cars and trucks are represented. While Nissan enthusiasts would undoubtedly love to see these legendary vehicles in person, this private collection is not open to the public.

“Many motor sports fans, not only in Japan but overseas people – those Nissan fans, would like to see many of the cars here at the Fuji Speedway, so we try to maintain the cars and restore the cars, and then show them, even to ask them to just listen to the engine sound, that’s enough.” says Kazuo Hioki, Technical advisor of Nissan Motorsports International.

The total value of this rare collection isn't known, but the Nissan R390 GT1 racer alone is estimated to be worth more than .2 million.

These vehicles only make it out of the warehouse for rare pit stops at racing events and shows. If you're interested in taking a closer look at this unique collection, check out the video below.
