The all-new 2012 Nissan Versa is expected to make its debut later this month at the New York Auto Show. The folks at Inside Line expect the new Versa to be based off of the automaker's new global B platform, which underpins the Nissan Sunny and the Micra.
Back in October, Nissan released a sketch of what the new Versa could look like (pictured above). There’s no word yet on whether the current model's replacement will be available as both a sedan and hatchback.
Interestingly, as news of the Versa's debut hits the Web, images of the all-new Nissan Tiida also surface. This compact is aimed squarely at the likes of the Ford Fiesta, and is expected to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, also later this month.
According to reports, the new Tiida will essentially be the same vehicle as the upcoming Versa. Based on the early spy photos (above right), the Tiida features similar design cues as the Versa sketch that Nissan released late last year.
